My name is Charles Mader. I am currently wrapping up a Bachelors degree in Media Production with a minor in Professional Photography this fall at the University of Akron. I am part of an EMMY NOMINATED television sports production team at ZTV. In addition, I am also a professional commercial photographer by trade; I started that career path before actually declaring my minor.
I was born a gearhead and will always be one. I started this blog after spending a season as an intern with PTSC, working with and shooting the IZOD IndyCar Series. I didn’t want to leave the racing world. I couldn’t. Racing is in my blood. My father has been in the racing industry as a decorated tire engineer for over 40 years. I truly love everything racing and motorsports. In my opinion, there is NO better smell than race fuel in the morning. While racing can be very dangerous, I still run toward the sound of engines thundering to life without looking back. Sure I’ve had my fair share of close calls (I’m looking at you Takuma Sato) I still love every second of it and will be around racing until the day I die. I started this e-zine to do what I love and bring the racers and car lovers of Ohio closer together. I literally go to all these events. I shoot, edit, and publish what happens. Thus far I have over 2000 regular readers in over 10 different countries. Racing is world wide. As long as there are cars, there will be people trying to go faster than anyone else.
